Perfect Pizzas

We all know that Crossray® infrared burners are great for grilling, but did you realise they’re also fantastic for pizza's? They’re fast, even, and very hot a great combination for a pizza oven. Check out our "How to Cook Pizza" movie to get some helpful tips.

Simply place your pizza stone on your outdoor kitchen warming rack, close hood and preheat until you reach 250°C. Add your pizza, close the hood and bake for 4-5 minutes (longer for thick bases). The results are simply delicious!

Crossray® burners are featured on our T-Grill/DS-Grill, Odeon and X-Series outdoor kitchens.

Porsche Engineering Development of the X-Series

Issue 02/2008 of the Porsche Engineering magazine features an article about the development of the X-Series designed by Porsche Design Studio and developed by Porsche Engineering Group GmbH. Some quotes include:

“Even the first sketches by Porsche Design opened up a new era for the Grandhall outdoor kitchen.”

“Fine, black stone elements further highlight the porsche design trademark. Almost straightaway, the stone look reminds us of a freshly asphalted section of racetrack.”

“The engineers pushed the small mobile kitchen to its limits time and time again. Once satisfied, we nod in approval: a job well done!”

“The lever mechanism of the “cabriolet hood” reminds us of something. It opens smoothly, quietly, almost silently. It is a succinct lesson in elementary physics.”

Introducing Neil Perry's T-Grill

Grand Hall in collaboration with renowned and respected chef Neil Perry began this project in early 2007 to create a fantastic barbecue which combines function and form. “We wanted to create a barbecue that not only looked good, but also was easy and efficient to use. The T-Grill combines the lot and it satisfies my every barbecuing need,” says Neil. Powered by new Crossray® technology, the T-Grill can sear food in seconds, giving you steakhouse results in your own backyard. The T-Grill will be stocked nationwide at leading BBQ retailers in June 2008. See our T-Grill brochure for more information.

About Crossray® Technology

Grand hall spent four years developing the Crossray® burner system and has international patents on this technology. The gas burners are located behind vertically mounted ceramic tiles. When the ceramic tiles heat up they emit infrared heat which is angled onto the cooking surface. The heat from the tiles overlap to create an even surface of heat, similar to cooking on a bed of hot coals. Because the burners are angled and located on the sides, grease doesn’t fall onto the burners, virtually eliminating smoke and flare-ups. Infrared heat penetrates your food, cooking it from the inside out, giving you that great BBQ flavor as juices are sealed inside. The Crossray® infrared burners also use around 25% less gas making them very efficient, yet they are still hotter and faster than traditional burners. Crossray® burners will feature in the new T-Grill, DS-Grill, Odeon and X-Series.
